Where are you having the paint and body work finished?
All of this work was finished over the phone, you are very brave, and it is very rewarding !
If you are going to get some estimates on finishing the work (body & Paint) I would not blow it apart until you have hauled it around to some of the local body shops here in town, and get some info and thoughts

There are a few that are qualified to finish your project here in town.
The more they can see together the better chance you have of getting a "fair" price
I would be interested is seeing the truck before you send it on to its next journey

Re: purgatorio

He is right. When I bought this truck, I had to buy three cabs, two chassis , 2 sets of fenders, two hoods, ton of crap. The cab is 53 and so are the doors. They are lush button. The original 53 good wasn't good. I know now thanks to you guys and after some thought it's an earlier year hood. What should I tell the fab man? Fill in the holes then re drill when emblems are ready?

Re: purgatorio

Emblems would be your call..I kinda like the chevrolet with the 3100 under it myself..they can still be bought..since its already setup for that it would be the simplist..but you could change it to just the 3100 badge if you want..its just what you like best..I've even seen a few custom badges cnc made for the ad trucks just to personlize it even more..some are pretty cool play on words.

Bought about custom emblems too. The name of it would be awesome but my brother and my mom think I'm a jack ass for naming it this . It's a long story childhood memory I have if my grandma explaining what purgatory was... I do like both emblems.. I'm so far away from that stage... It's heart breaking .

Re: purgatorio

That's a photo shop not paint... Well, bad news, he is not going to finish the truck after having it for two years👏🏾. It's the point that he has had it two years and still won't finish. He goes to car shows goes to help his friend in Oklahoma and when he gets super bored is when I think he works on mine. Truck should be here September sometime. Still need bumpers mounted, louvers shaved, gas tank fill neck. Miscellaneous things. On the bright side, all the hard stuff is done. But still not very happy.

Well now you can keep a closer eye on your project here in town!
