You have great taste d.l. I would like to thank those who try to preserve history also. This photo was taken about 5 or 6 years ago, but my '70 c.c. still looks the same. 350turbo, Dana 60 with leafs, medium gold metallic+white.

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

I Just got back into the old Chevy truck addiction with this 69' c10 307, 4 speed I found on CL last week for $1800. All original except the 16" rims and tires.

Me? I much prefer classic trucks that lean towards stock, and naturally beautiful women with beautiful "stock" parts lol. Now, this doesn't mean I don't see the beauty in the blonde or the overly modified truck, but I prefer the other.

Found this thread by accident but I agree with Mister B's comments above. Give me stock or very slightly modified. What really irks me are all the guys now days shaving the drip rails off these trucks. Yeah I know it's their truck and they can do whatever they want with it but it just seems like these trucks have made it 50 years with the drip rails in place why cut them off now? If you don’t like the looks go buy a new vehicle without them.

Anyways keep the picks coming guys.

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

Here's a couple of mine from a show I took it to in Oct. I was the only truck there. It's a 69 CST 350 AT/AC/PB/PS with HD suspension all original. I bought it from the original family.

not sure about the 16" steelies, but that's how it came off a ranch in Central Texas. I did add the later yr side markers. Thinking of changing back to the correct ones.

VERY nice looking truck you have there!

My 'original' 71 SWB has the same 16" wheels and caps. The wheels don't show up on the SPID so I'm guessing they were dealer installed because the truck was originally a Forest service vehicle. FWIW, I really like the look of the 16" wheels on these early 70's C10's.

In looking through the original factory option list I don't believe the 16" wheels were available from the factory......... that's why I suspect they were dealer installed.

cheers

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

I like a stock truck if it is interesting, some are boring but some are just a thing of beauty, all depends. it is nice for someone to spend all the time and dedication to keep it as factory though, not a lot around anymore.

Very nice, been waiting a along time to see the stock 67 or 68 3/4 ton to show up. Correct wheels and hubcaps are critical to the styling character, just as any other piece of metal: hood, door, fender etc.

It looks like you have a later model bed on the 67. You have the side marker lights on the bed, but not on the front fenders.

Pardon my newby ignorance, but what size is the motor? I woulda thought that a six pot would be undersized for a C20?

I sure do! She still has the original interior, original lock ring wheels, and the original motor. She's bare bones but I love her because of that.
