She just arrived home yesterday. I will post some photos soon. The truck is at the shop of a friend of mine so it is not handy for picture-taking right now, but I will get some soon. Got a quick look at her yesterday after she got here just before dark and I have been working all day today so I have not been back out there. Looks to be a rust free cab except for rockers. And a rust free bed. the camper appears to have been on her forever and protected the inside of the bed from wear and tear. The cab mounts and cab corners are all looking good. She seems to mainly have suffered from neglect over the years, and recent abuse, but in general I am quite happy to have her. I have heard NOTHING from the insurance company and I have been doing landscape work out of town so I have not had time to track down the insurance folks. I am patient. Thanks for asking!--George

I'm glad the ow er of the tow yard and Ryan were there to help you out. Now that it's home you have control...ya hoo ...I'm hoping all works out well.

Got the truck back. it looks better than I expected. Needs to have the carburetor replaced with a correct quadrajet. I can barely get the present thing to work. But I have crawled all over and under the truck and rust is basically non-existent except for one outer rocker. Nothing anywhere else. it is a good truck. Looks cute too. Thanks for your constant support!

I found the build sheet to my 65 mustang rolled up around the dash harness (common for early mustangs). Never found anything in the C10.

Got it and read it. I am going to call the Iowa State insurance commission this morning! This has gone on long enough. The thread you directed me to has shown me how sneaky and slimy these insurance companies are. They sure don't care about me. Thank-you 67Chevy Redneck.

BTW I just bought a 67 Chevy too. It is an original shortbed stepside 4x4, 4 speed, 6 cylinder. A fellow in California owned it for quite a while and then started to restore it but gave up after doing quite a bit of work. But that was 25 years ago. It has been in storage since then. I just bought it and it needs to be put back together. Engine was rebuilt but is just sitting in the truck not hooked up to anything. But I think it is a worthwhile project considering what it is. Absolutely no rust anywhere! Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello Ryan, Maybe the next transport will decide to roll the load somewhere near your exit! BTW I went ahead and filed a complaint with the Iowa State Insurance Commision. Now we will see what happens.

Hello Ryan, Thanks for asking. I now have the Iowa State Division of Insurance dealing with this. I filed a formal complaint. Apparently this has only succeeded in making the insurance adjuster really mad at me because he has responded with all sorts of threats. Crazy huh? I believe this will all work out in the end. I think the guy is really trying to get me to blow my cool and do something regrettable. It was quite helpful for me to read the other thread about the fellow in Reno who was having insurance problems and then read what the lawyer wrote. It was a good reminder that insurance companies do not care about me one bit. I will let you know if something significant happens. Now I am just going to let this Iowa state agency deal with it for awhile.
