Well, that's quite the "hybrid"! What would that be called... a Caraford 150?

How about this 1of 12 built! So the article says there is no info on this vehicle so how do they know only 12 where ever built besides the owner saying it???

A 3/4 ton with full seating and a vista roof? That is unusual. I've only ever seen one. That one.

I think that I saw another here before that wasn't that one. Something about a power company or a railroad. That's mighty cool, in any case. That thing is clean! I'd give them $1k for it.

Talk about unique this thing I bet was a bad ass in it's day!
The tag under the Mac tag talks about how the driver is responsible for the safe operation of the truck and to maintain 180* water temperature at all times no matter what the weather is.
Guys complain about the 67-72 models and their gas tanks!

That right there is THE Mack Bulldog. The series that got Mack the bulldog identity. Just think, they weren't unique at all in their day. Trucks like this were all over just like the curb sniffers < today.

Here's a purdy one:

Thanks Tim that is a pretty truck! I bet the one I looked at yesterday is worth a pretty good bit of money even in the shape it's in. It has all the parts to it, except the seat.
That was a bad ass in it's day!

Re: Unique trucks...

I'll be missing the best old truck show ever this summer, looks like. On Fathers Day weekend up at Macungie, PA is the annual Antique Truck Club of America's (ATCA) convention and show. Lots of Macks! The town is the home of Mack, plus Pa and the N/E have always been historically heavy on Mack like the NW has been historically heavy on PACCAR (Kenworth & Peterbilt)

Plenty of unique trucks seen at Macungie

I doubt it will fly this year… bummer. Buncha happy old farts and us two in the middle of it. Shoot, you probably saw it in a Macungie thread, but talk about unique trucks, here's what we show up in:

'58 Reo with small Cat diesel/Road Ranger 10spd/3.54s or somewhere close. It rolls right along with the rest. A little slower on big hills. Gets 12.5 mpg. Now it sports Bolstrum air seats out of a new Peterbilt (a few years ago). Much more comfortable. He had to drop through the floor with them

I seem to remember that truck. Your friend must be an artist? (I'm guessing)

It really is a shame that so many events are being shut down. My son in law owns a bunch of food trucks and a catering business. And he's taking a big hit right now. No meetings, no fair's, carnivals, or car shows = No business.

Re: Unique trucks...

Yep, an artist. He started out lettering trucks, then pinstripe, air brush murals, and now wraps and some vinyl lettering. He hired a young guy 15 or so years ago to do the vinyl. He painted that truck over 30 years ago. That side box has his paint supplies and there is an air chuck plumbed to there. He usually pays for the weekend just doing little touches on guys' trucks.

Even in CA your spring-fall is the busy season, right? Time for the year to get going and it's "Hold your horses!". I don't even talk about how it has and is affecting me. I was going to do Better/worse/no real change, we all are dealing with this. There are some unique food trucks out there for sure

I don't think I showed this
