Have never seen med green and gray plaid together before! Real nice truck. If interested in originality, potential buyers should look closely at the doors on the inside - check for the vent window support screw, that will confirm as a 72-only door, and thus, original sheet metal to the truck.
Look a little closer, those are the correct 72 mirror holes

It is a very odd color combo, pretty cool though

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

According to the guy selling it for his friend, "Looks like original paint except for hood and drivers door, floors rockers, cab supports , bed, all solid"

So the drivers door may have been replaced and or the hood..

I think it is pretty unique combination.

Sport mirrors? Whoda thunk it. Glad they put the camper mirrors back on there. I though they looked like the earlier 3-bolt mount that lasted up to 69 or 70 ish from the mid-60's trucks. Well that's good news then. Unique truck. Now if we could just find those custom camper nameplate hole remnants..

The dash and headlights are major kill joy for me. But the rest looks ok. The bad is reversable.

Dry loaded longhorn camper special cst

Factory 402 big block, automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, working factory tachometer, original wheels with nice hubcaps, air condition truck, but missing some of the air stuff. Not rusty, clean CA title in non-op. Pretty rare truck, being a Longhorn edition with a factory 400 big block. Hard to find! A good truck to restore. It has both CA blue license plates from new. I have new Longhorn emblems, new door weather stripping and new carpet sill plates. It has a fresh tune up, plugs, cap, rotor, points and wires. New battery and recent oil change with new filter. $4,500 firm. If you see this ad, it's still for sale. Call 760-519-3478 or text 760-519-3479. Located in north San Diego county 15 minutes north of Escondido.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I don't usually post anything but 72s with air, but this one came up in Dallas, and looks pretty original. Needs a bit of rust repair, but not much.

1969 C/10 with factory air. Guy says he has new rockers for it. $3950

Drivers door hinges look messed up but it looks complete otherwise.

I've personally seen the k20 in Kalispell. It's a converted 4wd - nicely done but not original.

The 8 400 fender emblems are a hint to the conversion
