Talking special-K for you...

Tim I know how you like pictures of parts so I figured I share one with you.

A good friend of mine drove up from Louisiana to go to the RTTS car show with me. He drove his Polara convertible he bought from John Schneider. (Bo Duke) has the title signed by him.
We run the Hot Rod Power Tour together also.
Well yesterday we went car archeologying around Greenville SC all day. He is looking for a factory 383 4 barrel intake for his Polara and also AC duct work for his 68 GTO if anybody reads this and has anything. LMK thanks,

Ok back to the post Tim I know you love old parts so we are looking around a yard yesterday and I spotted a few 60's Impala's in the back of this yard. I told Dave I was going to go have look see. The owner of the yard said they where pretty much all gone so wasn't much to look at. Glad I didn't listen to him.
I walked up and there was about 8 of them sitting there all like he said pretty much all the stuff was gone off of them. Well I noticed one was a AC car so I walked over to it and looked and my eyes's budged out. I found a very rare dealer installed under the dash ashtray for AC cars only and if you didn't know to ask for it when new you couldn't get it. I was a happy man. I got it for $25.00
I will clean it up and paint it for my 64 SS.
Sorry about the long post but felt it added to the story.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: special-K for you...

That's pretty amazing with all that picking and that rare piece was still left there.

Thumbs up Re: special-K for you...

I was told that most people over look them thinking they are add on from later years. Something the person added. I have herd of the vacuum ash tray as well that was hooked up to the vacuum hoses to suck the smoke out of the ashtray when you stepped on the gas but have never seen one in person.

Side note the Ramp truck made the 5hr drive to Myrtle beach yesterday with no problems!

Cruisin' MB in the ramp truck... COOL!

Need pictures! Is Krispy Kreme still there (end of the world if it isn't) in NMB? Get a night shot like this:
