Upper hatch hinges

Finally got around to pulling the upper hatch from my '70. Dumped out at all the rust flakes, going to slosh a couple bottles of rust neutralizer and then maybe a quart of Rustoleum around in there to try and preserve it for as long as possible. Noticed the hinges are very sloppy, suspect it's the hinge body as much as the pin. I've never had a good experience trying to remove a hinge pin from an old vehicle. Hatch and gate were working fine. Leave them alone? I'm assuming there is no aftermarket or other easy solution unless someone has run across something. Thanks.
