Re: engine mount location

You'll need to mount the z-bar further ahead on the frame, not shorten the clutch rod.
The position of the pivot ball on the motor will move forward.

Re: engine mount location

Depending on what you run for headers, you might think about using the pivot ball & bracket assy. on the block(67-72 with small block). This will put the pivot ball in between the 2 locations. Adjust the fore/aft on the bellcrank as needed. You just need to clear the header tubes crazyL

Re: engine mount location

If you want to move your engine to the forward location, you will need the '67-'72 small block motor mount brackets. I would also consider the '67-'72 clutch linkage as crazyL suggested.

Re: engine mount location

I have not been into the 63-66 trucks, as far as swaps...(67- 72, big time). If you have any ? Captainfab can sure give you the "square up" on your truck Anything that you need to fabricate, you can do with a welder. a torch & an imagination. If you can, post up some pics....best of all, have fun crazyL
