Looking to recover the seat in my 64. I have looked at the LMC one but I don't see anything close. Anybody have any input?

That's not original for 64 either. I'll see if I can find some stock pics.

You may want to consider visiting an upholstry shop and getting one custom made with the fabric of your choosing. I removed the entire bench, picked my fabric combinations and had it sewn with the same contours as the original. They repaired padding and also made a extra one piece cover to go over the fresh fabric all for $200.oo They had bench for 10 days.

I don't think the seat has ever been changed. Maybe thats why I don't see one like it...

The cloth insert is not 66. Also your foam is not in the best shape. One more reason to try local. There are a couple of vendors on here that have nice repo covers.

Before I found this site, I purchased a cover from Classic Industries. I had a local upholstry shop install it. It fit well and they said it was good quality. If you a simply looking for a do-it-yourself cover to lay over the existing cover, I have had great success with seatcoversunlimited.com in Arizona. Good luck, Bruce

Well my Dad has done more seats then I care to think about over the years. Im talking installing pre made seat covers. If im going to spend $$$$ on a replacement I want something that is correct replacement or something close.If I can't find anything. I will just cover it with a blanket for the time being.

No one currently redoes the deluxe seat covers. You will have to go to an upholstery shop to have one made. I just did the same for my 63. Around $150 in material and $350 to have the work done.

I live in a fair size town but we have one upholstery shop. They charge HUGE money to do anything. I would say to make a seat cover and put it on the seat would be about $1,000. So I will just buy a cheap cover for now and hope someone makes a correct one some day.
