quadrajet
I've been doing a few more hill climbs lately and my Edelbrock isn't fairing so well at any angle, heard of guys running q-jet backwards? Anyone?

I've had much better results using a q-jet on steep angles than an edelbrock but running it backwards is new to me. Must have something to do with the bowl configuration but that would require a pretty long throttle cable!

Is this because of the High Walls on the Q-Jet? I have a Edelbrock 600 on my Blazer and it has High Flood Walls...

Talked with a guy at work that has this set up. He had a shop do it so he doesn't know the details, but it's a throttle cable out of a van. Says it works great at just about any angle, but too steep and gas starts emptying out of the bowls. I'd still like to hear anyone elses opinion.

I've heard and read great things about the Holley Truck Avenger...and I'm a quadrajet guy....and someone that has TBI on my 350 for for this reason. had i known how well the holley truck avenger is performing i might have gone that route.

Well, I have the quadrajet set up, I'm getting ready to test it this weekend down in Mexico. Should be fun. Taking my old carb just in case though.
