1993 chevy Silverado 4.3l xcab c1500 low heat problem

My heater barely works but my temp is 195° the heater hoses seem to be at about the same temperature. No over heat problem present. Coolant level is good. But the heater just won't blow hot. This has been a problem for years but lately the temperature outside has hit record lows. Please help. 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

Heater core is prolly plugged. Pull lines off, blow air thru the return side of the core.

Did that. No change. Still only luke warm air coming out.

What mechanisms makes the cold air hot?

If there is a door that controls this. Where is it on a 1993 chevy truck?

There is a door in there that controls air flow. Not sure how it works or where it is. Guess I've been lucky with the pre-95s that the heat works lol.

There is a door to allow heat to enter cab. located, sort of below / right side of radio. access by removing glove box..... to left of glove box opening....

Also ...maybe your heater core is covered with leaves & junk. The stuff that wiggles it's way down from the vent, at bottom of windshield.

( When I replaced my A/C, I found my heater core covered with crap )

( My '88 Sierra )

not really a lot to getting heat --- suggestions above will hopefully get you going. Its going to be either not enough hot coolant getting to/through the heater core (bad t-stat or clogged core or line), or the air going through the vents isn't going across the heater core due to a blend door issue, or as suggested, maybe even leaves!

called actuator flap controls all 3 modes in vent, sometimes the mechanism sticks ,some wd40 does the trick.

like someone mentioned heater core could be plugged up, or a hose but that in return would over heat your truck as well.
