WTB - Original Valve Covers for 1968 SBC

I'm looking for a set of valve covers like the style shown here that have a vent on one cover and an oil cap in the other, and with no wire attachments.

Re: WTB - Original Valve Covers for 1968 SBC

I have a couple sets. Believe they are all late 60's to mid 70's 350 valve covers. Either the twist in style or the rubber cap style. Need a good clean, prime and paint to be nice but very usable. $30 a set plus shipping, money order, do not have Paypal.

I think you are referring to the wire loom brackets that are on the newer 80's style valve covers. Have a set of those also if have an interest.

That blue set looks pretty nice. How do they look on the inside? Any rust?

Pat, the blue covers are clean with no rust inside as I myself had been using them on my '57 Chevy 210 until just last year. I changed to an aftermarket set of M/T SBC covers which fit the build style more. Building it as a mid-60s high school street rod. Am adding a few pics of each set of the three valve covers in the same represented order as original pics posted. First pic is the brighter Chevy orange color, second pic is the dusty Chevy orange and the blue covers are the last inside pics shown. Let me know if have an interest in them, thanks.

Sounds good. Let me know what shipping is for the blue ones and I'll send you a money order. Any chance you have the eight little clamp plates too?

Will have to look in the small parts stash for the spacer / clamp plates and see what I have. Will get back with you on them and a shipping amount total also,.

Re: WTB - Original Valve Covers for 1968 SBC

The valve covers cleaned up nicely. I'm looking forward to replacing the current aluminum covers that have flames cast into them. Not quite my style. I'm not cool enough

The valve cover re-paint looks good. Glad I was able to help out with them, thanks again for the purchase.

I'll take the first orange set pictured with the push in plug hole for oil if you still have them. Shipping is to 19355.

Sorry to say don't find those valve covers with the push in plug for oil. Must have sold them at the one swap meet I was able to do before everything went to H*** with the virus shutdowns. I do have the second set with the twist in oil cap and probably have a cap also if those would be of interest. Only other V/Cs I have are newer later 70s style with the wire loom brackets across the top of the cover. Sorry can't help.
