Tired of seeing tons of Broncos?

Get ready to see tons of Blazers.
I don’t mind panels being reproduced to keep the originals going, but being able to buy a complete body IMO is not a good thing.
The reason I love these Blazers is because of the rarity, and I sure don’t want to see a bunch of fake ones going down the road.

Re: Tired of seeing tons of Broncos?

Mixed feelings on the topic.

Seeing one go down the road I don' think there is much difference between the two.

At some point one will be sold as an 'original frame off' and the buyer can easily be duped.

I have had a couple where a new tub would have been my answer vs. the million hours it took to get to a 'new tub'.

Split. But I see the negatives.

Re: Tired of seeing tons of Broncos?

There’s been a couple of discussions about these the last year or so. And in order to build one you will need a VIN number. A VIN number would have to come from a blazer that is too far gone to repair. Yeah I don’t think we’re going to see hundreds of these on the Road less than the value of the “real” ones?

With that being said the first edition Broncos are everywhere and it doesn’t seem to be hurting their price at all. I do like being the only one at the cruise ends and car shows.

Re: Tired of seeing tons of Broncos?

Or early Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles and other trucks for that matter. I also have no fear about the values being diminished on original trucks. Most of these trucks are built as restomods now and the values are even higher! Times are changing. Original early corvettes used to be where all the value was, now look at sold prices around the world and we can see original cars being cut up to make more valuable restomods or full customs. What are we going to think when the first electric first gen blazer sells for a half of a million dollars? It where we’re heading. Lol

Re: Tired of seeing tons of Broncos?

I wonder if anyone is ever going to reproduce the tops for Blazers/Jimmys? Seems like those would sell pretty easily.

Re: Tired of seeing tons of Broncos?

Given that most of the big money now comes from resto mods who really dont car about originality or even oroginal frame or VIN, you will continue to see this happen. As long as people are willing to pay up, the aftermarket will keep producing new parts. You can build an entire new Bronco without one original part now. The blazer is not far away. Build them right and people wont care. The purist will never like this but it is going to happen whether we like it or not.

Re: Tired of seeing tons of Broncos?

I saw the tub at Dinos in November. Looked very well done. If the price was down some, I would consider getting one for my Blazer even after making mine a better vehicle. As a owner of both and having to do major structure repair to both, these kits are a good thing. The Blazer I have was such a hot mess, the individual that done those previous patches should have been banned from owning a vehicle. Many hours put into fixing and resourcing parts.

The Bronco market is so out of touch it is insane. Rolling trash with a title is still being put up over here for over 10K. I had mine up last year and when folks gave me an offer that was insulting, I would send them links for the "Rollers" and told them to check them out since it was in their price range. The Bronco kits are lower and I may get one for mine.
