Rear A/C vents and trim rings

I'm sure this is a long shot, but does anyone know if the rear A/C vents and trim rings are reproduced?

Are you talking about a '72? I need some, as well. I wouldn't doubt that the vents and trim rings from a '73+ Burb would fit.

Yeah for my '72. The trim rings are brittle as hell. I looked at LMC's catalog for '73+, and it looks like the vents are rectangular.

Re: Rear A/C vents and trim rings

I made mine in a 3D printer.

I'm waiting for someone in the office to get one that prints in ABS so I can see if there is an improvement in appearance.

That's pretty cool. Never seen a 3D printed object in person. In photos they look a little rough, layered maybe? Are these smooth, and can you use them to make molds?

Re: Rear A/C vents and trim rings

The plastic is PLA and the surface is rough. ABS is suppose to print smoother but the printer has to be designed to use ABS.

Re: Rear A/C vents and trim rings

My old rear AC vents needed some help! My buddy HotPockets designed and built some nice nylon vent brackets. Super flexible. After a little spray paint, some minor trimming to the plastic housing, and some new felt washers, it's good as new!
