1993 Chevy Silverado 2500HD value

Someone is trying to trade me a 1993 silverado 2500HD plus some cash for my 1970 chevy. I don't think it is worth what he says but figured the board would know.

It has 127,000 miles, 454, auto trans. Body is pretty straight, but the clear has started peeling in a few spots. Interior is VERY clean. It has a 4" lift, brand new tires and nice aftermarket rims.

Re: 1993 Chevy Silverado 2500HD value

Just my thoughts but no way would I be interested in that sort of a trade. Your 70 K20 four speed and factory a/c will no doubt appreciate in value over the years if kept up. Don't know what sort of condition either truck is in but I doubt very seriously if that 2500HD will appreciate much with normal maintenance. Would depend I guess on what you wanted to drive, a truck many, many people have in the way of a cookie cutter or a truck that will get some looks and comments when you pull into a gas station or where ever. My .02, good luck on your out come.

Re: 1993 Chevy Silverado 2500HD value

The GMT400 are on the rise in value. for nice clean examples. I'd need to see it or more info, but if it's nice it's worth about $6k and up. But I agree there are 20+ years of classic missing between the two. I'd do a trade if you need a netter daily and want to get rid of your older truck. They are very nice trucks that just go go go.
