I thought the truck looked familiar - but not with the camper on it. And that camper looks like it's been on there a long, long time. The ad and description and pictures aren't very helpful, it's a bit skosh on details. Would like to see the inside of the camper - oh, and the other side of the truck at least.

My thoughts exactly. I think the Camper if in good shape is 1000/1200. The truck has no A/C and its a small block. C20's aren't SWB C10's or even long wheelbase C10's and the market is much smaller for C20's. I think the truck is a 7500/8000 truck so 9000 was a great offer and I don't think the seller will get more from anyone else.

The value of a clean straight as an arrow body and nice original paint ( paint that is still very presentable-just a buffing job) lower mileage 3/4 ton is often underestimated. Some of us have grown allergic to expensive body and paint work. There is a 3/4 ton market, not as big as the shortbed market of course, but there is a market none the less. Nice to see the 8 luggers appreciating in value too.

With a BIN of $8999 (i.e. $1 less than last sale attempt was bid up to). You'd think the seller would at least wash the only side he took pictures of.. Might help the sale. As would pictures of the inside of the camper. White/Black with red int is a classic combo. Personally, I think that if someone is looking for a camper and truck combo - this is priced about right. Assuming driver's side is not all bashed in and the roof of the camper doesn't leak, etc...

You beat me to it Mark. I saw the repost today and I always wonder why deals go sideways on EBay. To me as I previously said 9k is a great deal for the seller and for the buyer too if that is the truck he/she wants.

It will be interesting to see what it sells for. I personally believe the camper makes it worth less, not more.

Note that the steering wheel is badly cracked, yet truck was allegedly garaged for much of its life. Would also like to see the seat bottom to check condition.

I'd submit that the camper makes it worth more - but severely reduces the potential buyer pool because many will not want it and won't want to mess with disposing of it or selling it. If one wants a camper with a truck, this will be a good deal - previous sale attempts had it around 9k. If a buyer doesn't want a camper - then he'd be paying extra up front potentially with a chance to recoup some cost when he sells the camper. A bit of a hassle. But more is better (if the more/camper is something a buyer wants, that is).

Yes, it looks much better since been cleaned up. Now considering the fact that it sold for 9k with the reserve being up in there or at 9k ,will he let it go if the bid only gets to 6500.00 or cancel the auction a day before it ends. At the extreme end he could let the auction go to the end then refuse to let it go for the final price. I know that cause it happened to me a few years ago. I won the auction but seller wanted another 2500.00 after I won the no reserve auction.

How does that happen, I thought no reserve means no reserve and it's a contract? Did you complain to E-Bay?


As far as the truck. I think that's not a red interior, it looks more like the one year only maroon. Personally, I wouldn't want the camper. The list of people wanting one like that is quite small and would have to be fairly local or at a great price (free).

No didn't complain to EBay, no point. What are they going to do , ban the seller from eBay. They sure aren't gonna take him to Court to make him sell it to me at the auction price. The only good thing was he had to pay EBays fees for the ad.
