today leaving school i was playin around with my truck at the light. I would rap the throttle then immediatley compress the brake, this would get the front end bouncing. When i first got my truck a long time ago i would do the same thing for my friends to show off my $0 hydros. Well, b/cuz of the torque of the engine the front right side tire pulls up the most. Way back when I could only get it bouncing, but know air. i even tried to get it bouncing up and then and nail to try to get the tires off the ground, only to spin the tires. Well today after the installation of a new cam, w/ same 295's out back I can get it to fully extend the suspension and, bottoming out the suspension, not on the ground but up in the air. So hopefully when my new M/T's arrive I will be able to get an actual tire off the ground, and tell every body my truck can do wheel stands!

(43 now). back in HighSchool I
had a 67 CST w 327 w/posi that
I got a ticket for
"exhibition of acceleration"
in this truck. I used to buy
cheap retreads back in the day
and I left burn outs all over town.

maybe you should try placing a Civic in front of your truck and then ramp the hood or something, i bet that'll get you into the air.

Class of 64 here! Now, that's old.....I can remember peeling the carcasses off recaps back in the day! (But it's getting to be a faint memory!)

I agree with the other posters, be careful, and don't break anything!

ALSO, do not do this at the highschool! When I was in highschool still, I remember a moment in auto shop class, where a buddy and I were working on his old firebird. He had put in a hopped up 350 in, with all the fixins, and when he exited the shop compound, into the parking lot, he lit the tires up and left a patch of burnt rubber about 70ft long!! This was all caught on video tape!! (part of the school's new security features!) This resulted in a 3 month suspension! hahaha!

Nothing gets people rowdy like a good wheel stand. Especially at the drag strips. I did one once in a hot rodded Volkswagen of all things! The fellows are right though...cool as it may look to friends, Hard on the drivetrain and less cool if you spend the next 1/2 hour explaining to the police how "My foot slipped" off the clutch. Have fun!!

i have been thinkin about the stregnth of the motor mounts though. I was thinkin about chaining 1 side down. Seriously though i only do it when im the first at the light, and nothing to the point of breaking it. I spent 3 yrs getting it built, there is no way I would ever hurt my baby. Too much blood and sweat into it. I am though waiting till i get a 1 piece shaft b4 i try it w/ the M/T's.
