Thniking of using this bed ....

Hello, could somebody who knows how to 'Photoshop' put this bed on a 67-72 full size pickup for me?
I don't have that program and I'm pretty backward when it comes to computer stuff.

Ill give you a heads up, you are going to get a lot of flack and haters on this idea. Normally I would also say that wont be a good look. BUT ... I recently saw a local truck done up with one of these beds. The truck was painted in a semi gloss black and overall was finished very nicely. It was a surprisingly good look. I wasn't quick enough with my camera to get a shot, but I frequent the area I saw it, so Im always on the look out so I can get a pic.

Thanks CG. I'm not worried about the 'opinions' I'll get ... I just need a good bed and I don't have $4000.00 for the parts and shipping to build a new one. Then paint ... $$$

Before you buy the bed, you need to check the frame width. If it's off a little bit do you have the space, tools to make it work.

The different shaped fender openings would kill that idea for me. There is some listings on Craigslist for trucks being parted, a blue one comes to mind and I think it's in your area

I'll use my truck as the candidate for the photoshop since I already have a good profile photo set up for photoshopping. Overall, I don't think it looks terrible, but it will definitely get a lot of strange looks I think. I'm wondering, do you have access to a cheap current generation bed that has you considering this option? I would think by the time you get one of these beds and get it retrofitted to a 67-72, you would have been better off to just find a correct used bed for the truck. Are you looking for a longbed or shortbed?

How much can you get a bed for? Is it a short bed or crew cab bed? those things bring crazy money to rebuilders who need them. I don't do those model trucks mainly because they are too expensive for me. I have seen some of those beds with crazy asking prices. My point is, if you can get one at a decent price buy it sell it for profit and use the profit to buy the right bed for the truck

I was thinking the same thing?? There's one on my local craigslist for 2K, which seems about right for a new model truck (not a lot of supply yet).

Is your truck a longbed? (pic is of a longbed?) I've seen A LOT of nice longbeds sit for sale for a long time for $6-800 on this very forum, if you can strike a deal on one of those, it would be worth the drive to get it? I just can't see a 2014-2017 bed as being "cheap" at all? I recently bought a beautiful longbed out of AZ (minus the tailgate) for $700.

Also, a complete shortbed kit can be had for around $2,500, not 4K?

Want to save more $? The steel floor alone is around $900. If you get used wood cross sills (you will need a wood front panel) and do a DIY wood floor, you can save $6-700.

I also don't have measurements at hand, but I own a 2015 Z71 and a 67 C10 and the 2015 looks HUGE next to my 67.

Thanks for the responses guys. I appreciate the photoshop too! I'm considering some options now. To find a 68-72 long bed 8 ft in good shape has been difficult. I'd appreciate any info on ones that you folk know about.

At the risk of sounding like a complete redneck, how about doing a wood flatbed. When they have side racks, I don't think they look that bad.
