Change Oil Message

I have a 2004 Suburban. Got the oil changed a couple weeks ago, but they obviously did not reset the % of oil life meter. Now the Change Oil message is on. Any ideas about how to reset?

Turn the key on, but don't start, pump the gas peddle 3 times.

The owner's manual says that the light is supposed to "flash" if the reset was "accepted" but mine NEVER has but the light goes away after I do it. I think it's set to go off every 5K.
