4l80e goes into gear slow
I got a 2005 2500hd GMC 6.0L with the 4l80e trans. The trans shifts fine but it is a work truck and it sees alot of pulling. We pull a 11000LB skid steer on a trailer with it. The truck likes to roll into gear. If you shift it from park to drive or park to reverse there is a nice gap. If you were to press on the gas it would just rev up, then finally it engages the gear in moves. What causes this? I just replaced the fluid and trans filter. Please help!

Check the fluid level.
