Oil pan ? What now

In trying to find the oil leak in noticed the front two bolts on my oil pan are not there.
Trying to put 2 new ones in I noticed the holes are way out. How in the world do you get a oil pan where all 20 bolts line up except the front two. Ford pan or what:???

Someone put something together incorrectly, if its not apparent by now. What to look for now is what other crap did they do that you will wish to fix in the near future.

I'll try to get a pic. Way out like a finishing nail found the corner of it but no way the half inch bolt will get in there.
Everything else is coming along great.
Looking real good with the new door and redo on the interior. And the gun racks are real sexy.

I don't know how there are two holes that far off. Unless the pan was the cheapest ChinaMart deal the previous owner could find.

I assume you are referring to head size on the bolt, not the bolt size.
A 1/2" bolt is way too large of a diameter.

I wouldn't think there's much play in the pan. They didn't line it up to the timing chain cover. Possible it's the wrong timing chain cover? Maybe they just forgot and it tweeked. Couldn't tell you. Hopefully you don't have to redo the pan and cover, but from here it looks that way.

Engine stamp says 283 or 327. Have to pull the block to read the rear stamps.

I can get the camera in there for picks. Cross member is in the way. She is in for clutch surgery today so I will ask my mechanic what he thinks
