Re: Not a truck, but you gotta love it!
If it really is the "The Last One Made " he has a pretty rare bird. The 85 k bid reflects the current economy. That same car 5 years ago would have been double or triple that price right now.

Re: Not a truck, but you gotta love it!
Reading through his descriptions I dont see where it was the last one made. It does look like he documents it as the last 440 bird made.
My dad was a car salesman at a Plymouth dealer ship in the 60s and 70s. They had a green superbird on their lot like that one. I was only 10 in 69 too bad I couldnt take it for a spin. But Dad did take us for a crazy ride in it. Actually he took me for some crazy rides in a bunch of thumping mopars back in the day...The good ol days. Oh and Cdowns is right. Some of those cars sat there forever and just ended up being wholesaled or steeply discounted to move them

Re: Not a truck, but you gotta love it!
Our local dealer here had a purple one for at least a year. at a reduced price. Good old hindsight.

Re: Not a truck, but you gotta love it!
I've heard horror stories of some dealers removing the superbird/daytona odywork so they could sell them as a regular mopar. The only way to tell is the rear window or paperwork.
