Talking

Not Positive, But I Think Barn Doors Are Not As Rare As Hatches,
I Have Always Heard Hatches Are The Rarest, Like I Said, Not Sure,
As For Fixing The Floor, You Can Only Do Patch Panels, No One Is
Selling The Whole Floor, Unless You Find Another Donor Burb.

BTW, WELCOME 2 THE BOARD FROM WEST 10-UH-C

A Fellow 69 Burb

Everybody hated mine 2. They complained about how big it is. It's ugly, it looks like a hurse, all that garbage. I think they are great. They look good lifted or slammed. suspension parts are abundant. It's somthing not a lot of people drive! .........or build. Good luck with it! here are some pics of mine the day I brought it home and before teardown.

Wife and neighbors complained bout my 71 C10 4wd, until they needed something large hauled. I still miss it. It PO'd most everybody, which just endeared to me even more. Now my son has it and his neighbors just hate it. Tough...

FYI - 1969 C10 burbs, 3,100 with doors, of which 697 were 4wd. 1969 C10 burbs, 3,131 with gates, of which 730 were 4wd.

1969 C20 with doors 3,350 with 289 4wd. 1969 C20 with gates 3,385 with 256 4wd.

I miss my burb

Gotcha beat(so far!)

Welcome from NJ. Here are some pics of my 72 Burb as & where I found it. It is sooo bad, I had to take it to my dads house as my nieghbors would have lynched me. Believe it or not, the 402 runs perfect(after the 10 lbs. of animal "debris" was removed). It is the parts truck for my 71' Burb. You are looking at a total investement of $625 between the two of them. Purchased them a week apart...

I almost bought that burb remember Bob? I've since seen it at your sons place and it looks quite happy there to still be in the family.

Can't believe people hate 'burbs so much. Up here at a Prince Albert car show there was a metallic candy lime green 70 - one of the nicest customized trucks I have ever seen. It was modified, but all changes just suited the truck...nice interior, wheels, perfect body. Wish I had a pic to post. The thing was unreal. Wait until you get your unit done up, then let them try and complain while they drive by gawking out the windows of their 98 Taurus wagon

are you meaning the 3 doors as in the one drivers side and the two passenger side. thats what ive got but i was under the impression that all the 67-72 subs were 3 door.

Owning a suburban is not much different than owning a buick.
If everyone liked my suburban as much as I do. I would probably not like it then.

Bigstew, yea, all 67-72 Burb's have 3 doors. Special-K was making a joke. You will notice sometimes that people will advertise them as being a "RARE-3 DOOR SUBURBAN".

Ya got any pics of yours?!?!?!?!?!?

just know that when you guys are done, those same people wont be able to stop looking at it. If you thought people were asking a lot of questions before, they will ask you twice as many later.

"Is that a hurst?'
"Did you seal up the door yourself"
"What year is that, a 90?"
"What kind of truck IS that?"
"What year?"
"Who did you have do the work?"
"Did you buy that from a funeral home?"
