71 C10 Shorty "Betty"

Hey all I've been here awhile I don't post much. Here is "Betty". She currently has 350/th350, mild cam, shift kit. Tilt wheel, sport buckets and console I'm currently redoing. Lowered 6 in up front and 6 in on the rear. I alternate between these stock steelies with caps and 18/20 staggered Torq Thrust combo for wheels.Driver side rocker replaced in May. Still have the pass side to do. 1971 WA license plates with real 1971 year tag. I drive this girl everyday and have been for going on 7 years now. Paint is about 20 years old and will be redone when the rust repair is all finished. Have a good night !

Me too! But it gives it that sleeper look. Kinda like... I'm an old truck but I'm slammed and will kick your ass if you aren't paying attention to me! At least it will look like a sleeper when I put a big block in it eventually lol.

Re: 71 C10 Shorty "Betty"

I have to laugh about the "sleeper" comment. I was sitting at a light with my truck, next to an Audi, not far from an onramp. I could see that he was looking over my way, like he was going to punch it and cut over to get on the freeway in front of me (I used to street race, I've seen it all). I was wearing my, as one of my sons calls them, "old man sunglasses", the ones that wrap around the sides. I call them "marriage savers", for obvious reasons. Anyway, I watched the light and hit the throttle as soon as it changed. The guy got on it, but that 400/400/3.55 combination...with a camper shell, yet, in good tune took off and caused him to have to drift in behind me to get to the on ramp! We laughed all the way home. I love my truck! People see it and think slow. It's a little sluggish when I'm towing the camping trailer, I will admit.
