Hay Dog

Last fall I had a good friend of mine letter the doors with my farm name. A short story about the name HAY DOG. A good friend of mine's Grandfather used to always greet everyone by saying HEY DOG... So since my friends Grandfather has passed away and how He impacted my life with his knowledge and personality, and also the fact that my small farm does mainly hay....It was only fitting to call the truck "HAY DOG" in remembrance of Howie Manker.

Re: I have joined the ranks of the 67-72 guys...

This rear axle is the 14 bolt cab and chassis axle so its the perfect width. I bought some axle pads from CCP for the axle swap. I also have designed some axle brackets that will allow me to do a disc brake swap on the rear axle and have a parking brake. I will do the testing on this truck and then they will be available for sale at some point on my website. I am also looking forward to having power steering and power brakes as well as a front and rear sway bar.

I also have purchased a 6.0L engine and a gasser NV4500 manual transmission for this truck. That may wait till later this year after hay season is done.

Moderators...Is there any way to change the name of this thread to Hay Dog Since the truck has been around for several years now?

It's a green truck with a stake bed. I would have called it "Green Stick", but now it's red, so Idunno.
