Cheyenne Super Badging location question

Does anyone have pictures of a fender on a 71 0r 72 4x4 cheyenne super optioned truck? I am going to clone out my 69 K10 and have an idea how to put the badges but not sure. Does the 8 350 go under the 4 wheel drive emblem, and then of course the cheyenne goes where the custom10 emblem would be and the super is under that. Does anyone have pictures of theirs' or does anyone have a fender off they can measure the mounting holes for me? Thanks a lot, Ryan.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

No pic, but there were no 4 Wheel Drive emblems in 71 and 72. The CID badges go where the 4 Wheel Drive emblems are on your 69.

Here's a super emblem, but it's not on a 4x4.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

Oh just to be clear as well, the other side looks like this. I see so many trucks with the super underneath the 10/20 on the passenger side. That is incorrect.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

I looked at a`69 shortbed 4wd that was all restored. The guy put Cheyenne/10 emblems on it and I wondered what`s wrong with it being a CST?I`d say if you`re using Cheyenne Super badges you should at least use a 71/72 grille.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

Yep it'll have a 72 grill. I t already has the 71/72 front stuff on it. But it is all beat up. I have replacements for it currently. This truck will be for the little lady's since she fell in love with another board member's truck. So that means I am going to end up putting together 2 trucks now. I am planning on them both getting all the good options as money allows. Both will have upper and lower mouldings and will be orange and white 2 tone. But since I am poor everything will be of driver quality until I get them more complete.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but does anyone have the exact measurements for the holes to mount the all 3 emblems? TIA.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

I did find out that the deluxe emblem is different from the super when it comes to mounting hole placement. The super is farther apart horizontaly if I remember correctly. Maybe Randy can measure one of his he is parting out.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

It just dawned on me I have 2 fenders off of a Cheyenne Super laying in the bed of the 69. If i still have them, I will try to measure them as well.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

Rob, it's been really cold up here lately. Tomorrow is going to be in the 40's up here, so it will be warmer, but I think we are dragging home a '70 swb 4x4 tomorrow. I'll try to get you measurements off of my fenders if Dieselwrencher doesn't have his fenders any longer.

Re: Cheyenne Super Badging location question

I didn't quite get to them yet. They are in a snow drift with the rest of the truck. I didn't think it was until I started walking up to the truck and sank up to my chest. I got the skid loader out and started moving snow but then I had to come to work.
