69/K10 in my family since new! Mostly used for Electrical work, short hauling and yard work. Semi retired now, thinking of changing to Fleet side but I like the out of the weather storage and ease of access.

Thanks, I probably will leave as is...just dreaming some times after seeing all the different 67/72 trucks here from super fine to sublime. I love these forums and good to hear from the West Coast. Happy Trails PB

I would leave as is also. But being in home remodeling business I would probably put it to work.

I like Your heavy duty stretch step side...never saw one before...plenty of storage room and good visibility! Great picture with the Wife, Kid smiling in the back! Looks good with the new paint white wheels and caps as well as the no cap and weathered paint! PB

Re: trucks with utility beds (pics wanted)

Hi guys love the chatter about these old rigs. Let me clarify, The pics of my truck with no lettering - kid in back, are from '67 when the truck was new. The original owners daughter is the baby standing in the back. The pics of it with worn paint and lettering on doors are current.
- 1st two pics are when new
- 3rd pic is of truck as found
- 4th pic is current state

Re: trucks with utility beds (pics wanted)

I was trying to buy one from a member in Ca but he must not have taken me seriously, being so far away. It was a Harbor body works piece. He never replied to me. Then he puts it up a while later and someone jumped on it. No one runs low-profile bodies around here. I had to by mine new and they are crazy expensive these days.

Nice trucks, Joe and Scott. Exactly how I want my '72 if I can get my hands on a body.

Re: trucks with utility beds (pics wanted)

here's my 1969 short bed half ton with utility bed and enclosed top (all steel) with large back doors

I'm actually thinking of taking it off though and customizing the truck without it.

It is very cool though, so I go back a forth a little.

Re: trucks with utility beds (pics wanted)

Where have you guys sourced your utility beds from? I can't seem to find any locally, and I'd really like to get a period correct bed,or at least one that looks and fits just as nice.

Re: trucks with utility beds (pics wanted)

Hi Cbo,

Mine was on my truck when I bought it, had been on there since 1969.

I've seen people sell them on another area in this forum.

If you find a 'powers' brand utility bed, I have an extra tail gate for it.

Good luck
