window track inside door

Is the short piece of track for the widow regulator spot welded onto the inside of the door? I installed a P.O.S. power window kit years ago and had to remove the piece of track on the inside of the door and cut out the stop at the bottom of the door. I now want to go back to an original style regulator. I can fab a window stop but I am not sure about the short piece of track. I am not ruling out just finding a decent set of truck doors and cutting them. My drivers door has some serious rust in the back corner. Both of the doors I have now are cut truck doors.

Yep, I was kind of figuring that since I could not find that piece of track online anywhere. Thanks!
