Well i got my new adapter plates from tpiparts.com. They went in easy and look great. I strongly recommend these adapters if your in the market.

It set the engine back far enough so my headers clear the CPP Perch mounts and the engine doesnt even touch the fire wall... even tough its very close haha. Not to much of a problem since i was planning some firewall modes regardless. I threw the Corvette covers on and mounted the headers quick to take a picture. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, yes it is a lokar dipstick. I really love their products, they are designed and manufactured to very high standards I find, and you pay for it. I'm hoping they make a tranny dip stick too soni can get rid of the ugly stock one.

I took a few pictures to show the clearances. The Alt. fits with no problem, Im not going to run A/C and have already removed the pump and brackets, but it looks like there is more than enough room.

New parts showed up today. Kinda mad at myself.... I ordered 5 inch drop shocks for the rear but I only have around 1.5-2" drop on the rear. Must have had a brain fart when i was ordering. Aside from that everything looks good. Any one need a set of rear shock absorbers from CPP for a truck with 5" drop? Brand new in the box. I didnt get around to installing anything today and im back to work tomorrow. Maybe i'll get in the shop for a few hours in the next couple weeks, but i doubt it.

So the new shocks showed up and they fit a lot better. I got all shocks installed and was finally able to use the CPP upper shock supports for the front that I order a couple years ago. I also found a painless wiring harness on Kijiji and couldn't pass on it. For $300 I got the complete painless harness, still in the box and the rear taillight harness from Scott's Super Truck. I figure I would have spent close to $550 if I ordered them from the store. Haven't had any time to play around in the shop, work has been crazy. I'll get some pictures up here in the next few days.

I found them on Ebay. Just look for LS1 Swap Headers and they are easy to spot.

The battery box comes from CPP. It's not listed in the 67-72 section if I remember correctly. Look in the 50's Chevy section.

I guess it's time for an update. I've been doing small things on the truck, nothing to crazy, but we are moving next week and I'll have a proper shop to work in again. It's an oversized 2 car, insulated and heated. I can't wait. I'm going to do a little something with the floor before I start, I'm thing checkered tiles, then it's on again. This will be the fourth move since I started the project so I hope I don't have to piece it back together before is done.

Next thing I'm going to do is rough in everything. Cut and chop as needed and figure out what mods I need done to the cab. Once I know everything will fit, the cabs getting shipped off for body work and paint on the inside and firewall. Then I can really start to get things in order. I want it to be running and drivable before I take it down for the final coat of paint.

Well I've been doing some research and some purchasing. Life has finally settled down enough to think about ol' green. I found a set of Boss 338's wrapped in Toyo Proxes STII's

Brand new, just used for rollers on a project that was being parted out. I think I will need some spacers for the back but they look sweet. If anyone is wondering about the sizes...
Front Wheels: 20x8.5 Chrome Boss 338 5x5 bolt pattern +14mm offset………
TIRES 255/40/R20 TOYO Proxes STII
Rear Wheels: 20x10 Chrome Boss 338 5x5 bolt pattern +20mm offset….
TIRES 295/40/R20 TOYO Proxes STII

I've claimed a few time before that I'm going to get it done now and life gets in the way. All I'll say this time is I'm making some progress. My game plan is to buy and install new brake lines, finish plumbing in my fuel system, run the cables for my remote battery, install a 2.5" exhaust system and then fire the old girl up.

I've been looking at a Pypes Performance Exhaust kit in stainless, but I'm not sure how I feel about the X pipe. I'm not going for extreme performance and I don't know if I want my exhaust hanging down so low. If I go with a dual system I can keep everything tucked up nicely. I've attached a picture off the website to show how low it hangs. I have the CPP crossmember with the exhaust holes that I want to use. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hope to be checking in here more often, thanks for all the support.
