Spare Tire Carrier/Holder Identification

Just pulled this off a 65 K10..

Is this original or something someone made or put on? I've only dealt with C10's so maybe a 4x4 thing I'm not familiar with.

Spare tire carrier on the left I pulled from K10 compared to one from C10 on right.

So anyone recodnize this type of spare tire carrier? It fit perfect on the truck so I thought it might be original.. anyone??
