The Richmond is a stiff shifting box, with a gear whine like an old M-22....no issues on that. The problem is that this crazy old man missed a shift @ 7200, & munched a syncro, slider, & most likely the dog teeth on the gear. Richmond has changed hands, & parts have not been available... (the problem) The old truck is short on paint & interior, but still gets a lot of "thumbs up" when she is out cruzing. I am a little computer challenged, but I can have one of my sons post some pics.....Longhorn

Sure. I would like to see some pics. But then who on this site would not? Not to hijack, but has anyone got any experience with Doug Nash trannies? I was wondering how the 4+3 held up in Corvettes. One is for sale locally.

I dont know much about that trans....but Doug , got a bad rap about customer service. Richmond took over, after that.....I guess, that I would think about parts available? And /or talk with guys that have used them No issues on the talk......we all learn from the the deal Longhorn

I had always heard Richmond's were good trannies. My M22 never skipped a beat. I guess I will end up in the same place we all started. Muncie.

Don't waste time and money on the DN 4+3 Richmond still makes service parts for the DN and later Richmond transmissions. Go to Summit website and type Richmond transmission parts into search bar.
