89 GMC Horse Van value?
Can anyone help me put a value on the truck? It's not mine, but I'm considering it.
Looks pretty solid. It's been sitting for about 4-5 years, not currently running. Ran when parked. L86, with a 5 speed manual. 2 speed real axle. Under 30,000 miles. What series is it? GVWR is 23,000 lbs. The truck body is made by Bristol Horse Vans. "Luxury Liner" model manufactured in 1989. 24-25' in length. Tag suggests its 25'. Thanks for the help! |

I can't put a value on it, but that's wicked cool! Would make an epic motor home conversion.

That is a really cool truck. You might have more feedback in the "Heavy Haulers" section. The truck is likely on a C60 chassis.

Re: 89 GMC Horse Van value?
Thanks, for the tip Damien.
I didn't know there was a 'Heavy Haulers' section. I'll post it over there and hope they don't give me stink for a duplicate post. I'm kinda new around here, and usually hang around the 67-72 area. I don't often scroll all the way down. It appears after more research it's a 7,000 series. Engine is a 366 ci big block, something I never knew existed. |

Re: 89 GMC Horse Van value?
nice ooking rig. that would make a cool motorhome conversion. the 366 was a good engone truck probably has a 2 speed rear end and 5 speed trans. i worked at a chevy truck dealer in the early 90s. i painted several of those cab and chassis. "do it fast make it last" the boss would say, "paint it red it may be a fire truck some day" he would say. sprayed GALLONS of Centari code 72 red

Re: 89 GMC Horse Van value?
Very cool truck. I have no idea of value, but as mentioned the guys in the "Heavy Haulers" area would probably be able to give you an idea.
