oil leak
oil leak around oil pan and bell housing. I took a peak inside the bell housing near the flywheel and it all seems dry on the inside. Exterior is wet with oil on both sides of oil pan only near the tranny though. any ideas?

Could it possibly be the oil pressure sensor at the top of the block. I was thinking that the sensor is on the back just like the old small block. I've known a few guys who pulled their hair out looking for similar leaks.

Well, I replaced the Oil pan gasket and it didn't fix it. It is leaking a lot and since this is my work vehicle (construction) I can't afford to have it sit any longer. I took it to my mechanic and they said it is definitely the rear main seal @ $435.00 Ouch! I can't cry about it. I spent the whole day yesterday and spent almost $100.00 and still didn't fix it. That is what separates the novice mechanic from the experts lol!
