Re: just when u thought you've seen it all

I live in Surfside Beach, just down the road and busted my butt to try to make it to the show, but didn't get there, the weather was awesome. Did you get any more good pictures? I was told there was a lot of nice rides there. Thanks for posting.....

thats awesome, I don't think "ruining a nice burb" is called for. Someone has put a lot of work into this. curious what the interior looks like.

Re: just when u thought you've seen it all

A lot of work to make it look like you're following a 1993 Suburban. I don't see the point. Maybe he couldn't find a rust free hatch and tailgate for it..?

I think it's pretty slick myself. It has great style and whoever did it did a great job of blending the old and the new, and the paint is awesome!... And I'm usually a stocker kind of guy.

Just my 2¢ worth.

I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit.Yuck.It looks like a bad after thought, kinda like the rear lid for a garbage truck. The body lines are not even close. Not my style at all but to each their own.I'm sure its the most beautiful thing in the world to whom ever built it.

The only thing I can tell you for sure is that if people keep bashing it the thread will be closed and someone may get a short vacation..... Bashing is a big no-no on here... I don't care who's ride it is.

Not trying to bash, just giving my honest opinion.I do like the way the front bumper was blended into the clip for a smooth look. Its easy to jump on the band wagon and point out flaws. They did a good job I guess you could say,I just don't like it.Thumbs up for being brave and doing it

Re: just when u thought you've seen it all

I like it!! I can imagine pulling up behind it and thinking, "just another 90's burb" then passing it and doing a double take.. "wait a minute" its a 67!!
Being someone who has been sawing up and putting cars/truck/motorcycles together for the better part of 40 years I can appreciate the time and effort it took to put it all together.
I have always liked the saying: "any man can restore a car, but it takes a real man to cut one up"!!
Guys... Please think before you type, I agree that it may not be everyones "cup of tea" but bashing things on this board will get you a vacation.
So please... if you do not have anything good to say.. just move on..

Re: just when u thought you've seen it all

Being the purist that I am when it comes to old trucks, I can appreciate the work that went into this customization. It's actually done quite well, and who knows? Maybe the old burbs rear gates were rotted out, and the newer section gave the owner an option to get the old burb on the road again?

Wait a minute.. Rot in rear suburban gates? Nah, never happens

Re: just when u thought you've seen it all

Was that silver on the lower body line a darker shade, or was that just the lighting?

I normally like the look of custom paint with all the original trim still in place, ie. handles, body trim, bumpers..... But that being said, I really like that front bumper mod. Goes well with the look of that Burb

Re: just when u thought you've seen it all

I think I'll classify it as ... "I'd like to see it in person before I make a judgement. I LOVE 99% of it, but for me, the hatch would have to be seen to be appreciated.

Interior looks very nicely done. Somewhat subtle and practical, but with a modern touches.

Either way... I'd drive it.
