Depends on which one you are looking at. The 1/2 models I test drove were nice, but I don't like the super short bed they made to compensate for the extra cab. I think the 6' beds are too short at time, a 4.5 foot one would be waaay to small. Other than that it was an OK truck, but I have not been impressed by the 04 and new GM trucks.

I liked mine well enough. I had a white/tan '05 1/2 ton crew cab. I levelled teh back and put 20's on it. Mine was an LS, but with just about everything else. If you buy one with bucket front seats (more comfortable, IMO), you also get Bose and XM.

Re: Who all has a new crew cab half ton?

I have an 04, I love it. Rides good, towed my Blazer home from Tucson, AZ with no problems. I don't have a problem with the short bed as the only things that get put in there are my dogs and sometimes luggage. I have an old truck for doing actual work.

Re: Who all has a new crew cab half ton?

Just bought an 06 a week ago. Traded in the 1500hd 4x4 crew for a regular 1/2 ton crew. Much better ride, and the bed is only 10" shorter, not too big a deal unless you haul alot. I got a Chevy with the LT1 package, it also came with XM and steering wheel controls. I also put a set of Chevy 20" wheels off of an 07 they had on the lot. Good luck.
