I was looking at a truck that the PO had pulled the 305 engine out, which he did not like and put in a new goodwrench 350 engine. My question is, on that swap does the tbi (fuel injection) system stay the same or is it different between the 2 engines? I just wanted to make sure before buying it.

IIRC, the throttle bodies are the same, the injectors themselves are different. They should have two colored paint marks on the tops of them to tell what's what, but I don't remember the codes. I think the 305 ones where orange & black? I had a'92 c1500 with tbi back in the day that I tried different injectors on, from sets for 305 up to 454. It should run fine with the 305 setup, but hopefully some one with more accurate knowledge can chime in.

Found a chart, according to this, the black & orange were the 350 ones.

Never knew that about the injectors. I have a 305 in my truck and a 350 in the garage now I know I can't use the injectors, but pretty sure everything else is the same. I have the computer out of a 89 350 in my 1990 with a 305
