Looking for the "winch" for the spare tire....vendors?
My '96 doesn't have the winch that holds the spare beneath the bed. Best guess is that it is somewhere in the vicinity of Fairfield, CA.
Looked at LMC but no luck. Guess that my friendly, local GMC dealer gets the call. One question: Do you still have access to the spare if you have a hitch receiver?

That would be great, Scott. I expected to find the winch underneath the truck, but all I saw was nothing. I don't know what's missing to know what to look for. My son was surprise to learn it was gone, too. No telling how long it has been gone, or where it may be.

I guess it depends on what brand receiver hitch you have but all of my trucks have them and spares too. No prob.

Thanks, Jim. I didn't think there would be a problem, but just wanted to ask. Y'all doin' alright? Check out the suburban pix on my other post. You're a diesel guy, right?

Yeah pretty much. Spent most of Wed down at the Heart Hospital with the wife. She's having some issues. Got good test results though. They said she has some wiring problems.
Me a diesel guy? Well not yet but I sure do have an interest in owning one. I'd need a pkup though.
