Not one ounce of rust. 2nd Owner. Have stock Rims as well with Center Caps and beauty rings. Still has the original 1972 Sticker hidden back there just to show it off.

joea307 do you plan on restoring those two of yours? Don't see the campers too much on our trucks. They were cool to own.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

i do plan on restoring them and do some work to the camper as well.the 71 with the camper is gonna stay my daily driver and the 72 will be my second vehicle. The thing i love about the 72 is the original documrntaion, window sticker, various dealer items and reciepts from the day after it was bought.I also like the options it came with. The 71 is neat because of the color middle green, camper and it being a cst.So far its the only 71 cst blazer i have seen so far.So as afar as restoring the 71 is gonna be a slight custom to my liking and the 72 is gonna be almost all original as i can keep it,but not sure how deep of restiorations i will do,depends on my budget.

Yeah budget is always the hardest
Thing to compete with on a rebuild
Or restoration. Mine would be a lot
Better shape if I had more cash to
throw at it. I try and find deals but
On a 40 year old truck there is a lot less
Parts available these days. Luckily they
Are becoming more popular to Restore
Now so more companies are popping up
With parts and new stuff that Wasn't
available a few years ago.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

That's awesome you still have the original 72 license plate. I wish I could Find one. They are allowing you to use any plate from your Model year to use on antique plates now I think I read in pa.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

Mine. drove down to Arizona 4 years ago from Ontario, Canada and trailered it back (could have drove it). 2 Owner and desert dry. Got busy and only put about 200 miles on it. Awesome shape but I've started a full frame off to make it like new. This picture was from when I pulled it out of the garage to put it under the knife. Will be starting a re-build thread soon.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

First time seeing the truck in 8 years since i drove in it with my Grandfather in 2006. he passed away in 2007 leaving me the truck, finally got to see what color he had it painted before he passed.. were to many rumors of the color and was also told it was still in pieces and not drivable..

I was quite ecstatic after all the rumors I would like to paint it back to be the same metallic green and beige/goldy color you still see inside as that was the way i always remember the truck.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

This is my 72 before restore, although I'm about finished with eng & tranny. I just bought a 71 GMC cab, bed & frame just for the floor boards and rockers. I'll have the remainder for sale (frame, bed, doors, upper cab, etc.) if anyone's interested.
