Just picked up a 79 C20 and the PO pulled out all the underdash harness. Is this specific to 79 or will another year work, plug/play?

81 changed a few things, mostly in the pin outs some. I don't remember if there are any differences in the 73-80 series pin outs. One thing you do have to look into is the harness were pretty specific to the options on the truck. Probably the biggest difference is did the dash have idiot lights or gauges.

79 was the first year for blade fuses. 78 n older was glass. I'd try n stay 79-80/81, mainly 80 for the same interior guages and such. I might have a 79 k10 wiring somewhere...
