Talking Droping 292 oil pan

Took a few minites under the pick up thinking that the fun level on droping the pan isnt very high on this one and looking for some insight before i really get in a jam. Ive got a small rod knock im hoping to get it fixed before it totals the motor.
Thanks!

Re: Droping 292 oil pan

It can be done but like you say, it is not fun. You need to take the front mounts loose 7 raise the front of the engine way up. Pull the fan so it won't poke the radiator. Remove the flywheel covers. You may have to rotate the crank if the front balance weight is down.
