Any independent rear suspension c10's ?

I just stumbled on a kit for rear independent suspension on an old Ford truck and thought it was really neat.has anybody done this on a c10? It looks like maybe a thunderbird rear end would work but since I am not home to take measurements I don't know for sure.i do know that I saw a video from I think it was the guy from roadkill that did one.pro's or cons ?

You are talking about Finnegan. If I remember correctly the IRS he used came out of a navigator. He said it works better because of the design and layout of the control arms.

Finnegans is on a "67 c10" there really isn't anything c10 about it. And most of the rear end is custom. There is a kit to mount c4 irs to our trucks. I'm sure a jag rear would be pretty easy too.
They all have their benifits depending on what you use your truck for and what your expectations are.
I had a c4 irs that I picked up cheap at an auction. It looked like a pretty easy install depending on desired ride height. It was hard to sell it.

Re: Any independent rear suspension c10's ?

I have been trying to figure out the best options for my truck ,I have leafs on it now with a notch and flip kit and bagged, but the ride is not as nice as I had hoped for so I was thinking of four linking it and that is when I saw the video.my truck is going to be basically just a cruiser not a hauler.i figured if I did a IRS system then I would have rear disk and maybe even limited slip.for about the same as a four link set up.i also want an ls swap.

Leafs and bagged... a bagged trailing arm setup may be your best bet for a cruiser. Hell even hardcore autocross guys aren't going independent.
