Here in Liberty it's fine 90* sun shinning. The beach house, well will see come Sunday are Monday. Our son is getting married next Saturday on the beach. Well we are hoping he is anyway. Just waiting to see. We where suppose to go down tomorrow but we are thinking Sunday are Monday. More likely Monday.

We are hopefull we will not have any big damage at the beach house but who knows.

58 huh? Well that's purdy close to old. I'm 64 and have been getting senior discounts at restaurants for 25 years.
I've wondered how you were making it over there with the big blow. Dang thing is only moving 6 mph. Sustained high winds like that can do a tremendous amount of damage not to mention continuous rain too. I hope you come out ok.

Where he lives it's the heavy rain he has to worry about. We'll see how the beach house did and I hope not too bad.

Thanks man, so far we haven't seen anything here yet. Suppose to be getting close tonight and tomorrow. I talked to a neighbor a bit ago who rode it out at the beach. He never lost power. As of 8:45 this morning. Says our road is passable what he can see but it's pouring raining and he ant going out yet.
Hope we can get down there Monday and get things back to normal for the Saturday afternoon wedding.

We just got a phone call from a neighbor who rode it out. He said it's good. No damage except minor tree limbs in the yard. Power is on never went out. Road is blocked by police until tomorrow when they lift the mandatory evacuation. He had to show proof of ownership to get through to the beach area said they look good for the tides they saw.

This is good to hear this means the wedding is on for next Saturday at the beach.

Yes it did NC got it way worse than us. Just saw a live feed on F/B of the beach area out where we go sit on the beach . Looks good the dunes are still in place. That's great. High tide is at 12:54 today and it looks about normal.

The wedding is on!

Still com here and very little rain. It's drizzled a few times but nothing yet.

We have decided to head down to the beach tomorrow and hopefully have our sons wedding next Saturday as planned. I sure hope all the reports I have been getting today are good ones.

Great to hear your place fared well. It slowed up as it came down the coast. But I was concerned about the higher tides and storm surge. It sure was bad in NC

So far everything is good. We have a lite drizzle here this morning in Liberty SC with a lite breeze. Nothing to talk about. We have decided we are all headed to the coast this afternoon when our son gets off work at 2pm.

From all the websites I have seen the roads we take are clear so we heading out and start preping for the wedding next Saturday!
Rhett is making sure Grandpa is doing it right.

Re: Andy from Liberty SC

I live up the road a piece from Andy, they dropped the ball on the forecast for us.

In Greenville/Greer/Taylors we received very little wind, and it's been a constant drizzle since last night around 6. I don't think it's done anything more than rain for short bursts. We have afternoon thunderstorms way worse than what we got.

With all the devastation along the coast, we didn't need anymore of it. Now we can send the resources we reserved to rebuild our area down to the coast.

Are you sure you're not mistaken? The weather forecasters are very serious about giving accurate forecasting and reporting

According to the GSP weather station we received a WHOPPING 0.6" of rain.

CNN also found this guy floating around! I can't believe they really exist!

Re: Andy from Liberty SC

Well they may have missed Greenville SC but damn they got the coast figured out.

We got to the beach house about 8:30 tonight. We came in the back way up from Georgetown. It was fine until we got on 17 heading north. It's like a war zone. Only it's water and debri every where.
It's raining like crazy and tornado warns out all over Horry county.
