I was 11 when my 72 k5 was built 50 miles from home. I have owned her for 36 years.

I was 10 when mine was built. '67. The first one I drove was a brand new blue, 1968, GMC longbed. Inline 6 and 3 on the tree. My dad bought it. I started driving it on the dirt roads at our lake house when I was 11 or 12. Drove it until he sold it to my cousin several years later. He sold it before I got my license and I probably drove it as much as he did. LOL. Those were really the days. Miss the days, the truck and most of all, my dad.

-29 years, I'm pretty young. My father was only 3 when mine rolled off the assembly line, my grandfather was 33.

I wouldn't be born for another 17 years. For those of you that can remember when these trucks first hit showrooms, it would be cool to also hear what your first impressions were of these trucks. Did you consider them a worthy successor to the previous generation at the time?

-23. was born in 93, 1970 truck lived in nebraska for 45 years. imported it to the UK myself last year (coolest kid in town!). best thing I ever had or ever will own. love these trucks!
