Re: NAPCO Thread

Here's the '59 3/4 ton I had for a while last summer, I6/4spd. It was a utility company truck that was originally yellow and green.
Sorry I had to show off my '79 GMC 1 ton 4X4 Pathfinder van towing my '59 Napco, I thought it was cool.

Re: NAPCO Thread

I went to a car show at Watson Lake near Prescott and parked next to an old customer of mine who brought a licensed and insured (and driveable) '59 Napco chassis to the show. It was cool catching up with him as I have not seen him ni several years and he was one of the best customers to deal with.

Ironically, there was another complete '58 or '59 there at the show also:

Re: NAPCO Thread

NapcoinAustin, most truck tire places can get those tires. Very common bias-ply tires.

Re: NAPCO Thread

Here is my 70 Chevy CST/C30 that was converted to 4x4 with a Napco front end.

The original owner bought it as a cab and chassis and had it converted to 4x4 and had the camper made to fit it.

Re: NAPCO Thread

I just saw this on a page on Facebook and figured I'd share. It looks like a Napco or Marmon Herrington conversion and I know they're pretty sought after by collectors, plus it would just be awesome to have. The guy went to look at it for sale in Warsaw KY, he said they wanted $1500 for it but decided he didn't want it.

Here's the post if you're on FB. https://m.facebook.com/groups/319900...75657022597054

Re: NAPCO Thread

I can't wait to get started on mine. I've had it a month and haven't accomplished much except getting the 2wd stuff off my frame. I still haven't had much luck locating seals and other parts but I'm still learning who has what. What I need is more time off but that doesn't look like an option. My plan is to get all of the running gear ready to go and touch up the frame and get everything pretty by spring.

Re: NAPCO Thread

Here's another cool one that should probably go in the same category. 4wd, planetary 4 wheel steer, set up as a tug.

Re: NAPCO Thread

Ok, I am curious, and it may have already been covered (my internet access is really choked down recently due to work and a two year old) what axle and transfer case would have been stuffed under a c30, how was it titled, and how reliable were/ are they? I assume they put leaf hangers for the springs much the same as a SAS kit for newer ifs chevys

I like it! And, I like your collection... all of it. But, I spy other vintage 4by material. Now you need a NAPCO Studebaker and Marmon-Herrington Ford!
