Thumbs up Kudos Bigunde

Bought a Chevy 250 from Bigunde. Great guy, it was my pleasure!

Here it is. The 67-72 Chevy block stands make the 250 fit the Jeg's SB Chevy engine cradle perfectly. The 4x4's are screwed to the deck to keep it from rolling front to back and then it was strapped down well. Didn't move an inch on the nearly 2 hour trip home. Great way to haul an engine. I think the cradle was only $29.99, but might have been on sale.

Engine will need new core plugs all around and I will re-gasket and check every thing over before install.

Plan to do compression, oil pressure checks where it sits and probably test fire it. According to the castings it is a '68 block and the stamped suffix code ends in CCA. Closest I can find to that is from a nova site:

1973
6-cylinder
CCA - 250cid w/powerglide

I does have a flex plate and no pilot bushing, so may be. But, I wouldn't think a block would hang around from '68 to '73 before use, but who knows.
