After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Dash is complete except for the LED bulbs which I'm debating on using. But until I decide I cant finish the install. Oh well a few more days want hurt.

The tilt is also on hold until the dash is finished because it want go in with it in. So I'm just mocking it up for the final cut on the steering shaft.

Re: Working....64 SS

Well it's been a long weekend but the dash is in tach in but not the one I bought. It went bad on the first rev of the motor. It worked fine while idling but the first time i rev'd her up it pegged out and hasn't worked since so I put a aftermarket tach in it.

Dash and tach have all LED bulbs except the turn signals.
I bought the 67 SS Impala steering wheel months ago off E bay for $50.00 and fixed the cracks. I stained it yesterday and letting it cook in the sun today before sanding it.
I also had to modify it to work with the 64 column. The hub is for a 67 also and the holes are all off for the turn signals and horn so I redrilled everything. It works fine now.

New gear selector is ordered. LED in here to.

Stain pen.

Well as of last night I have it running great finally!

I went to O=Reilly's and bought a vacuum gauge to set the 2 idle screws. Setting them by ear for me isn't a option, I wear hearing aids in both ears!
Anyway the store manager was great he told me exactly what to do!
The idle is down to 600 rpms in park and no backfiring at all when I let off the gas while driving it.
I do need to buy a good set of spark plug wires but that can wait. I found one of mine sparking off the fire wall. I swapped it with one I had.

I got the Impala looking like I want and it's running good also. I just finished up the original steering wheel. I fixed the wood wheel also and ordered new gear selector for it.
The tilt wheel is awesome and works great!

Re: Working....64 SS

Love both wheels! Had the same "wood" wheel for my old Chevelle.
Was always torn between the painted wheels and the "wood" ones.

Me too!

Dad likes the painted one better and it's going up to NC for him to drive for awhile while I work on the 56 Bel Air. So it will be just right for him.

I've been busy on the 64 SS. Getting things in order for the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour in June.
I installed the old C10 fan shroud I had and it made a world of difference in cooling the car off. The electric fans never came on with it sitting at idle for 45 minutes with the AC on high!

Growing up my mom had a 64 283 glide SS and my dad had a 63 Biscayne 230/3speed . Fun watching you work on this one.
