1949 Chevy Paint Codes
I want to color match my rims, so I have been digging around for some paint codes.
Of course my truck is pretty sun faded.....so I have no idea what color it originally was. http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...=50&size=large I am guessing Windsor Blue. Any way to confirm for sure? |

Re: 1949 Chevy Paint Codes
There is no code on the truck that will tell you, You will need to find a protected area of original paint. Maybe the back side of the fresh air vent, behind the lip of a front fender on the cab, or if the firewall hasn't been painted over. You may check the underside of the hood as on my truck was written in grease pencil "Transport" as it was originally transport blue on the lower body color. It is a 54 though.
