Question Eaton rear end disk brake conversion.

So having a heck of a time finding replacement brake drums and shoes for my Eaton H052. I found a product online by lugnut4x4 to convert to disc brakes. Has anyone used there product and are you happy with it?

Re: Eaton rear end disk brake conversion.

Pirate4x4.com has lots of brackets to convert 73+ front C20 disk rotors and calipers to the rear. See the ruffstuff link for the Eaton brackets.
One issue is the parking brake goes away. In some (all?) cases you can use Eldorado rear calipers, but they're rumored to be finicky, expensive and hard to come by. See the pirate link for eldo calipers info, or search pirate.

Re: Eaton rear end disk brake conversion.

Can't help you with the disk question, but if that dosn't work out and you stick with the drums, Craig at Drum Garden in southern California is the guy to see for impossible to find brake parts. He recently found me front drums for my 65 that just plain do not exist-anywhere. Sorry don't have contact info handy, but if you can't find, let me know and I'll dig deeper.
Good luck, Tom

Yep, 14-bolt brakes will swap right over. Figure the 14-bolt disc conversions worth on Corporate HO 52/72s, so...
