Cluster checks and options

Hey guys

Anyone got a good write-up on how to test what gauges in cluster work ?
Some require different tests I think like voltages and ohms

Also.... What gauge or cluster replacements would you recommend.
I've only ever used autometer before.

Any special considerations for LS swap too.

Thanks
