Rear Control Arm Bushings?

Deciding which bushing to use for rebuilding rear control arm bushings.
Rob at Nolimit suggested not using polyurethane in this application. Not sure why, or what he recommends for a fun street driver.

Also considering spherical bearing if available.
Hotchkis swival max is being considered strongly.

Any suggestions on what you are using, and how it drives, will be a big help.

Thanks, did not find much in FAQs or search on this.

Les

Re: Rear Control Arm Bushings?

I installed the polyurethane bushings, they seem fine. Rob says they will bind and rubber would be a better choice because they flex more. The heim from hotchkiss would be the best from a performance stand point, but I don't know how they would effect ride quality or if that is even a concern of yours.

The spherical/Delrin style joint would be top choice. Factory replacement rubber 2nd. Poly bushings last.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
